History

Ties that Bind: The Evolution of Cleveland Moms 4 Moms, 2017-Present

Cleveland Moms 4 Moms is a founded in 2017 with the primary goal of providing Indian mothers moving to the US with support. Based on the founder’s experiences since 2017, it was clear that sources and information were disjointed. This community was formed out of a desire for a sense of belonging similar to the Indian support system.

Inspired by the simplicity of helpful reviews on platforms like Amazon, the concept was straightforward—moms supporting each other by sharing insights about their experiences. What began as a modest group burgeoned from 1 to 2, eventually almost a 1000 moms on WhatsApp, 650+ on Facebook, and 100+ on Telegram. Across various ages, we discovered a wealth of contributions and a collective eagerness to learn.
Our community evolved beyond product recommendations. From identifying the best cookware to engaging with top college counselors, understanding finance, and providing invaluable assistance through physician moms during the challenges of Covid, our collective strength became apparent. The realization of this strength manifested during the pandemic, crafting masks for physician moms, supporting pregnant moms deprived of familial aid due to Covid restrictions, and establishing food chains for assistance.
In 2023, we proudly transitioned into a non-profit organization, solidifying our role as the go-to group for various non-profits. Every individual involved volunteers their time, ensuring that no monetary gain is sought. The funds raised are channeled towards meaningful causes, such as supporting women and children at Laura’s Home, a women’s crisis center, and spotlighting small businesses through the Mother’s Day Party.
